Daily routines are not the easiest things to momentarily walk away from. But every now and again, it benefits us, to step outside of our comfort zones, breaking away from the usual mundaneness.
Once you start taking steps to change your life, even if they are only small ones, your new path will start to appear.
Don't wait for someone to come along and push you in the direction you should be heading. Don't wait for circumstances to dictate which way you're traveling.

Use fear as motivation.
